The ARC Training Centre for Resource Efficient Alloys in a Circular Economy (circAlloy) was officially launched at Deakin University, marking a significant milestone in advancing collaborative research between industry, government, and academia.
The launch event brought together distinguished guests, including Libby Coker MP and Alison Ross, alongside senior leaders from Deakin University, the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and the University of Melbourne. Deakin leadership—Professor Matthew Clarke, Professor Nick Birbilis, and Professor Matthew Barnett—were joined by collaborators across partner institutions, whose vision and leadership are central to the establishment and future direction of the Centre.
circAlloy extends its sincere appreciation to its industry partners—Bisalloy, Bradken, Score Group, Doogood Australia, Hysata, and Rio Tinto—whose strong support and collaboration underpin the Centre’s mission to deliver impactful, industry-relevant research and sustainable innovation.
The event program featured an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, technical facility tours, and industry-focused discussions, showcasing circAlloy’s cutting-edge capabilities, world-class infrastructure, and commitment to translational research in support of a circular economy.
